This is a Christmas story. But it's not about Christmas trees, candy, or snowmen. It's not about Christmas carols, mistletoe, or even presents. This is a story about reindeer. The very special reindeer that are chosen, out of all of the others in the North Pole, to pull Santa's sleigh.
Santa's reindeer have a tremendous job to do. They have to pull Santa's sleigh, loaded with thousands of toys, all the way around the world. It is the reindeer's responsibility to get Santa to the homes of every single boy and girl on the planet. All in one night!
How do they do it? How do these simple animals prepare for and then carry out the most important task of the year? The answer is simple. TRAINING!!

About the Author
Nikki Walton is an elementary school teacher in Opelousas, Louisiana. She has been teaching for 6 years and was awarded Teacher of the Year during the 2006-2007 school year. This is her first children's book. She lives in Bayou Current, Louisiana with her husband, Shane and their two boys.
