About the Book

Jake is going on his first train trip!  He's going with his grandmother to see Uncle Steve in the big city.  He's so excited!  What will it be like to ride on a train?  What will he see along the way?  As the train leaves the station the fun begins!  Jake's first train trip to the big city turns out to be a spectacular event!

About the Author

     Carla (author) lives in Burnsville, Minnesota, with her husband Bruce of 21 years.  She works as a legal assistant for a Minneapolis law firm.  She enjoys reading, watching movies and, most of all, spending time with her 6 year old grandson, Jake.

             Vera (illustrator) lives in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, with her husband Rafael and son Salomon.  She enjoys spending time with her husband and son, and her hobbies include going to the beach, scuba diving and reading.  She works as a tattoo artist and illustrator.
