About the Book

"... it is indeed a wonderful book, beautifully crafted and finished, especially the blending together of the visuals and text!  Truly a heart-felt work and expression of love."

David Molchos, Photographer for Healthy Planet

About the Book:

The memoir, For the Time Being, is more than a collection of one couple’s letters, poems, cards, stories, illustrations and photographs.  This is a book about life, love, humor in the realm of satire, romance and the inexorable heartache of cancer. It is the story of one man’s strength of will and determination – no matter the odds –  and the unending devotion of his friend and love, his wife.

This memoir underscores ‘the knowing’ – the reality that miracles do happen in life –  and in death. Ultimately, For the Time Being is the story of the indelible nature of  the human spirit!

About the Writer ~ Illustrator

Christian John Jeppeson was a life safety design engineer who consulted with companies such as Intel and Motorola on the design of microchip fabrication facilities. Christian’s seminal acoustics paper, “Hearing Is Not Understanding,” was lauded by many of those in the industry.  The ever-enigmatic Chris was a Brit who served sixteen years in the United States Air Force.  At the same time, he engaged in a number of wide-ranging pursuits, such as sketching, poetry writing, and the studies of philosophy, religion, art and the Mayan culture.

Chris and M.K. spent much of their free time hiking and camping in places like Jerome, Prescott, Sierra Vista, the Navajo country, and Sedona, Arizona. In upcoming stories, M.K. would like to tell you about the mind-boggling, if not mystical happenstances they experienced while camping in the red rock vortices.
