About the Book
Time In Head and Heart brings a fusion of words in the form of short stories and songs; brought to life in poetry.
These words were written with a floetry and fluidity like running water, or the crashing of waves breaking at shore quality, that hopefully will capture, provoke, stir and tease the heart and mind.
Some will have you covering mouth and pointing fingers, wishing you had the nerve to give voice to the exact words.
Hopefully it is nourishment that leaves you reminiscing of innocence; longing for a kinder time, enveloping you like a loving grandma’s favourite scent when you think the world has been unkind. Or an avenging mama’s voice saying whatever it needs to gain you that ounce of fulfilment/ your truth.

We need more than just dialogue to encourage the many faltering relationships; mother and child, husband and wife, friends hoping to become lovers, playhouse to playground mates, employer and employee…
Silence that loud proclamation that has taken wings, crippling growth, and hiding potential for LOVE and RESPECT. CARING in its simplest form.
About the Author
Kathleen Dyer was born in
Kathleen attended primary and junior secondary school, and later The Montserrat Technical College where she obtained City & Guilds Qualifications in Mathematics, English Literature, Language, and Electrical Engineering after 2 years.
Upon graduating Kathleen worked with Antilles Television as a television operator.
Kathleen also sang with the islands folk group; The Emerald Community Singers.
Regrettably though she never foresaw the strange twist/Hurricane Hugo, that tore her from the embrace of her loving island with its colorful people in 1989, leaving many homeless, and jobless; including herself.
Kathleen decided to relocate to the
Kathleen trained in Taekwondo, and participated in tournaments, to overcome shyness.
She also worked as a Sales Associate with the Bronx J C Penney Department store.
Living abroad has taught her many life lessons-humility, selflessness, respect, and most of all tolerance of Self and Others.
Throughout these shifts, or wind of change, Kathleen has never given up on her dream to one day become a published author.
She smiles…Thinking of her favorite line from the movie The Field of Dreams; If you build it they will come.
So Kathleen invites you now to come to the feast and enjoy what she has so lovingly and laboriously mixed, plotted, stitched and rubbed together, by the lessons that life has skillfully taught.
Starting in her beloved Montserrat, and then in the
Kathleen has realized her strength and has set free her gift from Jah who blesses us each with a talent, to help us map out our way life.
Success is only a matter of preparation meeting opportunity.
