About the Author

Bonnie Cheryl Bowen is a practicing Massage Therapist on the Big Island of Hawaii.  She grew up in Texas, then moved on to California, traveled abroad, then raised her family in Arizona.  She had a professional business in Arizona for 8 years and then self-published her first book of poetry, Beyond the Horizon, in 1994.  She then decided to settle in Hawaii to continue her career in the healing arts, including writing and photography.  Her poetry and photography are a reflection of her experiences throughout her life that encompass her family, friends, relationships, and the profound issues of life itself.  Unbroken Horizons is a compilation of some of the poems published from the previous book in 1994, then followed by 11 years of various experiences in her life with nature, friends, lovers, and life in itself.  The photographs are taken by her on the Big Island of Hawaii.  Bonnie is presently exhibiting her photography in the local community and will integrate her poetry book as well to the neighboring islands and the mainland as well.  She wants to dedicate her art forms as a blessing to all life and love itself.
