INTRODUCTION

The ministry of the Holy Spirit is one of the most misunderstood ministries by the Church as a whole. Yet the Spirit’s ministry is of the utmost importance and His understanding crucial to the life and vitality of the saints and the proclamation of the Gospel message. The ignorance and denial by which the modern Church has limited and suppressed the very source of it’s strength has allowed the world system to infiltrate and become a religious system whereby physiology and humanism are basic tenets of her faith. It is only through coming back to the truth of scripture and renewing again a right relationship to the person of the Holy Spirit that the youth and fire as seen in the early Church will be rekindled. I have attempted to lay some groundwork here that will aid the reader in developing such a relationship and for those that do have a relationship to the Holy Spirit, to deepen and strengthen that which they have. You will learn about the Spirit’s mission and His purpose. You will also learn about the things that please Him and the things that offend Him. The facets of His personality will become real to you as the scriptures unfold. The Spirit filled life is an adventure of abundant life and power. By Him we transcend the natural and partake of the supernatural. He is waiting to reveal Himself to you and to truly fellowship with you. He will enable you to live, not just imitate the Christian life.
