About the Book

What is it like living most of your life with diabetes, a condition that affects approximately 120 million people?  A DIABETIC'S TALE chronicles moments of a 65 year-old woman who has lived with diabetes for the past 57+ years.  It pays special attention to the physical, emotional and psychological considerations associated with this condition candidly and in depth.  The book marks phases of the author's journey with diabetes, enlightening and provoking thought for readers who have the disease, know someone who is diabetic, or are just curious about the condition and its effects on a person.

About the Author

Marlene Schenter currently lives in Portland, Oregon, with her husband of 47 years.  Her retirement from teaching has given her time to write her memoirs and spend with her two youngest granddaughters.  She is currently working on her second manuscript and has many drafts for future writings.
