About the Author

George [Butch] Jamieson was born March 2nd 1947 and raised in SE Washington DC and later move to NW DC. His mother, Catherine was a school teacher and later retired from the Federal Government. His father was a construction worker. He was nurtured under the watchful eye of seven of his father’s sisters and Uncles. He was an intelligent child, and his musical talents were encouraged. His voice and guitar were heard in social events.  

Butch, as known by his friends, attended University of the District of Columbia and got his [CAC] Certified Addiction Counselor registration in 1995, and went on to study at Lincoln University from 1995-1998 in Oxford PA In  Human services. Later he received his [LPC], License Professional Counselor in the State of Maryland. 2003, Mr. Jamieson was elected the president of the Board; Joining Efforts Together & Associates, LLC [J.E.T.], witch provides Out-Reach Intervention to HIV/AIDS clients all over the country, through Training Seminars and Workshops.

While moving forward with his counseling career, he met Harry Davis, a Camera man for NBC 4, Who , founded the Broadcast Factory TV studio, and had won Several Awards to his credit for producing Human Interest shows. StreetMasters was conceived and went on the air and ran from 1989-1995. Shows concepts dealt with the reality of addiction and the recovery process from the addict’s personal experiences. Concepts, were educational, informative, and encompass audiences from all walks of life. StreetMasters much attention and won an award the first year it aired, for best new show on public access cable.

His reputation has grown, and he has made a difference in the community. Butch is moving forward in his attempts’ to continue to bring positive TV to the Metropolitan Area
