Behind The Bar Room Doors

 we spend three hours loving each other.  She is a very wild and adventurous woman, and a very compatible lover.  She shares her passion with me and I with her.  At 5:30 a.m. she gets up out of the bed and pours herself back into that red dress to go home.  "You’re the best, Ricardo," she tells me.

"Thanks, Penny, you took the words right out of my mouth,” I say with a big smile on my face.  I am very much pleased by her.

I kiss her goodbye and ask her to be careful on the roads.  I tell her what a great time I had with her and that I would like to see her again sometime. I walk her out to her car and as she is pulling out of the driveway I think of just how great we were together.  I will see her again I'm sure of it.  You know what?  I’m in love, hook, line, and sinker.

I get to bed at 6 a.m. and sleep till noon. When I wake up I decide to send Penny a dozen red roses to thank her for such a great night.  I remember her last name and the town she lived in from glancing at her wallet last night.  I check the phone book and find her street address.  I decide I better call first to make sure she’ll be at home to receive the flowers.  We danced as one and we were so great in bed all night.  We never missed a touch or a beat.

I decide I’ll wait a little while before I call her house.  She might still be sleeping.  I know I’m exhausted from the great sex we shared for hours last night.  Man she must have been starving for sex, lucky me!  What a lady!  I am so happy.  I hope she's free tonight.  When I call her house in the afternoon the answering machine comes on.  I think she must still be sleeping…  Then the voice comes on the answering machine:  "Hello, this is Police Chief Stewart. Penny and I aren’t home right now, so please leave your name and number after the beep."

I hang up the phone real quick.  She never told me she was married.  Then again, I guess I never asked.  Well, there’s no way I’m sending her flowers. I can't believe she’s the police chief’s wife!  Now I remember where I’d seen her before: At the policeman’s ball held in the next township…about four years ago.  In fact, I think she might have been wearing that same red dress.  How could I have forgotten?  Well, I guess it’s true: You just never know who you'll meet behind the bar room doors.
