He told me he had brought his family to experience serving a meal at Grace Resource Center. Oh, dear. I looked around at the mass of bodies and could not think of a job for any member of his family to do. With what little resourcefulness I had left, I suggested they just mingle and observe. If a job became available, I would let them know. I explained that we were overloaded with volunteers this particular night, but that we would love to have them come back another time. In all the confusion, I wasn¹t sure if they stayed or left as I heard a child¹s loud scream.
