PRAYERS OF THE RIGHTOUS
I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations…. Psalm 89:1 KJV
There was a time in my life after I had my first baby, Ramona I became very sick almost unto death. For days I was unaware of my surrounding, because I was delirious with fever and pain. I did not even know my husband let alone I had a beautiful baby girl. Faithfully, my mother stayed by my side night and day praying for me. At times when I was in and out of consciousness I could hear my mother praying without ceasing. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much (James 5:16). Regardless of what anyone said about my condition she continued to put it In God’s hand. Every other thing I heard was incoherent to me and my vision was blurred, as if I was in a dense fog. Yet, still through all the confusion I knew my mother was there praying for me to survive. Eventually, as I came to myself all I could remember during the time of my illness was her prayers for me.
To this day I know it was her faith in God and prayers that brought me through. I am forever thankful for this gift she shared with me. Now I share that same gift with others as lesson well taught. Truly, prayer is something we should not take for granted; it is our lifeline to God. Yes, it strengthens, keeps, protects, and replenishes us throughout our daily lives here on earth.
A MOTHER’S PRAYER
Lord, I remember when I was sick almost unto death.
Yet, I heard my mother pray for me to have better health.As I was in and out of consciousness unaware of my surrounding.My mother prayers continued with faith so astounding.
Faintly, I heard her pray Lord heal my child, as sheheld my hand and wiped my brow staying with me all the while.Yes, even though I was delirious with fever and pain.Faithfully, she continued to pray for me in Jesus name.Finally, as the fever and sickness left my body I felt anew.

About the Book
A few years ago I suffered from depression, and I started keeping a journal of my feelings. Later I put my thoughts on paper in the form of poetry. It was if the Lord was speaking to my heart to let go and let Him handle everything. The first poem I wrote was the Glory Of God. Soon I realize that everything I went through was not about me, but Him. Yes, without Him I would be nothing. Truly the gifts and talents I have are from Him to be use for Him only. I praise God that He found favor in me to share such wisdom and knowledge. Truly it is not me, but Him and for Him I am stepping out on faith.
About the Author
Georgia is a registered nurse and works in an intensive care unit, in Marshall ,Texas where she lives. She has been a nurse for twenty-two years. She is a wife, a mother of five children, four daughters and one son. Georgia is also the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren, six grandsons and three granddaughters. Her family and job is big part of her life. She considers her job as her ministry for the Lord. Proudly her colleagues wholly support and respect her. To Georgia nursing is not just a job it is a way of life. She pours out her soul in her poetry and other writing to reveal how great an impact God has had on her life, and the people around her.
