About the Author

Shelley Mahajan is the author and creator of Bandar the Monkey and The Adventures of Bandar the Monkey series.  She is a recognized teacher appearing in the 10^th annual edition of “Who’s Who Amongst America’s Teachers”.  Shelley enjoys being creative and loves working with children.  Inspired by her daughter, Zara, Shelley created Bandar, a character who experiences great joy through everyday adventure.  She hopes that her books will help to promote literacy amongst children, and help foster a love and appreciation of life.
