Having a number of fighters from Mizar and Issamaly to come to their aid drew the Droid vessel away from Navita, this welcomed help appeared to be working in their favor. Navita was finally able to make the jump, as Abrean listened intently to the commencement of the battle behind them. The Droid ship launched its fighters in several volleys. Not long after they intercepted the fleet of human warriors, which met them with great resistance. The first victories came swiftly for the humans, as they hooted and hollered with the downing of every Droid fighter. Then the tide turned, as Abrean heard the death cry of humans being obliterated from the dark skies of deep space.

A bit confused, with both vessels under strict orders not to break radio silence, the two captains pulled their ships side by side. Using bullhorns to communicate across the water between the ships, neither captain admitting who or where these civilians came from. What they did agree upon was that none of these people spoke any languages that were understandable by either country. A rare sight it was for both crews to be so close to their enemies and not blasting away at each other. To have verbal communication with those civilians might be a way to get answers regarding who they were and how they had come to be out here. The captains looked throughout late evening for more survivors in the sea, while some of their officers interrogated the civilians, to no avail. The only things they got from them were strange clothing and sounds unknown to both the English-speaking and German-speaking seamen.

At this point the book divides into three stories intermingling between each other to the end of the book. Over 400 exciting pages introduce a diverse cast of people and their extraordinary adventures covering four galaxies.
