Pricilla Elizabeth Rodkey, or Perky as Dad called her, put her hands over her ears. She could not deal with this anymore tonight. She had cried herself dry. If she could only sleep. Maybe in the morning, she would find it was only a dream and there would be Mommy and Daddy happily eating breakfast and drinking coffee at the breakfast table. About the Book
Half of the marriages in this country end in divorce. Confused children become the unfortunate by-products of broken marriages. Follow Pricilla Elizabeth Rodkey, better know as Perky, as she survives the divorce of her parents. Perky wonders what she did or forgot to do to make her parents break up their "happy" home. She, along with her best friend, Rosemary, try everything eight year olds can do to save her parents from the break up.
About the Author
Meg Ellison is the grandmother of seven beautiful children, five of which have lived through the divorce of their parents. The book is centered around Alexis Rose, whose soul searching and truthfulness gave a heart to Perky. Many of the situations Perky found herself in came from Alexis' real life and some from her imagination.
