"Why do you look at her like that?" asked Lucifer. We were watching 'Bring it on' and he was referring to Kirsten Dunst. "Because she's pretty, they all are, otherwise they wouldn't be in the movie," I replied. "I like her, and the other one," said Lucifer referring to the girl who played Missy. "Yeah, I prefer her because she's got dark hair," I added. "What do you think of that black girl?" "I don't care about black girls, I prefer the blonde only." "Hey Mickey you're so fine, you're so fine you blow my mind hey Mickey, hey Mickey." I sang along to the credits. "Do you want to meet Michael?" Lucifer suddenly asked me. "Ok," I was game. We went into my bedroom and settled down on the bed. On each of the four cream coloured walls of the room I had a drawing for each element, for north, east, and south and west; earth, air, fire and water. For earth I had drawn a bag of over spilling pentacles in a purple and brown sack; for air I had drawn a large erect penis with blond pubic hairs representing a sword; for fire I had drawn a guitar for a wand; and lastly for water I had drawn a chalice with two lovers embraced on its bowl. Usually I loved to marvel over the drawings and upon entering my room I went round to 'visit' each picture, to invoke their presence. I took one look at the penis and I began to change. It started slowly with my body twisting and turning and my head bobbing from side to side. And then I was gasping for breath and clutching at my heart which was pounding faster than ever before and speeding up, inducing a panic attack. Then I was rocking back and forth with my knees up against my chest, shaking and shivering in cold sweats, tensing and then de-tensing. I was moaning in pain, not knowing what was happening to me. "Lucifer?" I called out to him, breathing heavily. "We're bringing out Michael," he laughed. |

About the Book
In November 2004, a young nineteen year old woman named Sophia Door decides to embark upon automatic writing - a craft similar to the ouija board. Little does she know that she is about to change her life forever, for worse.
After two weeks of writing, Sophia begins to hear voices in her head, known in schizophrenia as auditory hallucinations. This leads to the appearance if two very distinct alter personalities; a man who goes by the name of Lucifer and a small boy named Michael. And now Sophia is about to begin a battle for her sanity, her life and her soul.
About the Author
Sophia Adare is a twenty-one year old new author, born and raised in London. The book: A Tale of Possession is Sophia's second novel based on the true story of Miss Sophia Door's experience of spiritual possession and mental illness. Sophia Adare's other novel is titled: Valley of the Cats, which is a Romeo and Juliet-esque tale of forbidden love.
