Trilogy of Leon

Chapter One.

Darkness arrives.

How many warriors does it take to end a war? The answer is simply too many. One hero, one legend, one man can end all suffering and slaughter. This hero has been born.

Darkness covers the vast land. Black clouds rule the sky. Battles of magic are fought between wizards and sorceresses. Battles of land are fought between armies. The battle for love and happiness has been all but lost apart from in one small village in the middle of a large flat stretch of land. It is here in which a hero was born.

A sunny late afternoon and all is calm in a small village called Savon. Wind blows ever so gently; rustling leafs of the tall trees. Children play happily in the corn fields. The men of the village build new huts. They plough the fields and merrily go about daily tasks. The women prepare a great dinner to be held in the village hall to celebrate a successful season for the crops. Everybody is happy and there is a large unbreakable amount of love between them all.  

            It begins to darken across the land with rain clouds covering the sun. Rain starts to drip but still everything stays calm and peaceful. The people of the village escape the rain and collect together in the village hall.

            A young beautiful mother hugs her child as the village chief; Saridus kisses her softly upon her cheek. The beautiful woman pushes Saridus the silent smiling child. The child was reluctant to go to him but walked over to him anyway. Saridus addresses all of the villagers now sitting at large tables. With a strong voice he gives a speech,

“My fellow villagers listen closely now to the words I speak. The land in which we live, the land in which we share, is soon and guaranteed to be taken away from us and for this my friends I apologize. I was once a strong man who was full of courage and could defend against temptation. Now I am nothing more than a broken leader but yet you all stay so strong. You all stay together so close and with such passion. For this I applaud you.” Saridus claps his hands slowly and quietly as he smiles at his people and he lifts his wine. The villagers laugh and cheer with each other although the majority of them did not really understand what he was saying,

“May today, my friends, be remembered and loved by us all.” With the end of Saridus saying this, the cheering becomes louder and the feast begins.

            Time flows by quickly as it reaches the mid hour. The rain now falls hard upon the village. The wind blows violently and constantly. Thunder roars after the sharp lightning. A loud knock beckons the large doors of the hall. All goes silent. The villagers stare at the doors, all of them waiting in extreme suspense.
