Answers to Life Problems

In these days and times when one is still single, they begin to feel uneasy, because when they get a certain age, they believe they should be married or getting married.  If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry  (see Matthew 19:10-12).  There are also many good reason for not marrying, one begin to have more time to work for God’s kingdom.  Don’t assume that God wants everyone to marry.  For many it may be better if they don’t.  Be sure you prayerfully, seed God’s will before you plunge into the lifelong commitment of marrage.  There are many single women wants to get married, or think they need too, but if they do get married, some for the wrong reason, such as marries for money, and convenience.  For I would that all men were even as I myself.  But every man hath proper gift of God.  One ofter this manner, and another after that  (1 Corinthians 7:7).  Both marriage and singleness are gifts from God.  One is not morally better than the other, and both are valuable to accomplishing God’s purposes.  It is important for us, therefore, to accept out present sisuation.  When Paul said he wished more could get alone with our marrying, he was expressing his desire that more people would devote themselves completely to the ministry without the added concerns of spouse and family, as he had done.  He was not criticizing marriage-after all, it is God’s created way of providing companionship and populating the earth.  Be patient and don’t worry, pray and see what God want you to do.  He that is unmarried careth for the tings belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord.  But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.  (1 Corintihans 7:32-34, 38)  So then he that giveth her is marriage doeth well, but he that giveth her not in marriage doeth better.  Saying when Paul said the unmarried person does better, he was talking about the potential time available for service to God.  The single does not have the responsibility of caring for a spouse and raising a family.  Singleness, however, does not insure service to God-that is up to the commitment of the individual.
