About the Book

Imagine crossing your child across the street to play with his friends. You let go of his hand after it’s safe to cross. You remember his little face as he looks back at you with a warm smile and waves to you “see you later!” You wave back. You start to walk away, but you give one quick look back at him while he’s walking toward his friend’s house. Only to find out later that in the next hour your life will never be the same because it will be the last time you will ever see your child alive.

That is what David Agosto encountered with his son Danny in the summer of 2005 in Camden, New Jersey. Three boys were missing in their neighborhood. The residents of Camden and many local officials came together and united for three devastating days in a massive search for the three boys.

Follow through a family’s nightmare as the nation became a witness to a father’s heart wrenching discovery.

About the Author

Maria Agosto was born in Puerto Rico. She is the oldest of seven children.  Mariana Cheverez was born in Camden, New Jersey and is the oldest of five children.  Both mother and daughter have been writing short stories and poetry for many years. The desire to be writers on both parts was always within them. Each one had dedicated herself to writing in their spare time for enjoyment, especially when they wrote in their journals they each kept throughout their years.

Since they were both keeping journals of each other's lives they decided to combine them both to make a story. It’s sad to say that it took a tragedy that happened in the summer of 2005 in Camden, N.J for both mother and daughter to finally write a book of that horrible day.

Both mother and daughter currently live in Camden, New Jersey.
