While some of the staff scramble to fulfill the doctor’s order, a strange phenomenon is taking place in the operating room. Kathleen drops into an unusual comatose state, witnessing an eerie vision behind her closed eyelids. She sees herself falling downward toward an endless void of darkness while hearing babies crying from afar. To Kathleen, it seems she is falling for a lifetime until she feels her body hitting the ground with brute force. Suddenly, the darkness of her nightmare is brightened with flashes of lighting bolts, while sensing pools of blood underneath her back. Not feeling any pain, Kathleen slowly stands up on her bare feet and looks around while standing in one spot. She tries to see if she is somewhere familiar or to pinpoint where she could possibly be. The last thing she remembers was being in an operating room stretched out on a cold surgical table. The place she is in doesn’t resemble the operating room. Instead, it is something out of a scary movie. The lightning bolts dance in the dark skies and terrains of blackened blood clots make up the hilly background. As Kathleen stands in her hospital gown and bare feet, she can hear several infants crying and a small child sobbing while uttering the words, “Mommy, Mommy, where are you? I want my mommy.”
Kathleen turns in a small circle where she stood so she can get a glimpse of the crying child. Hearing the sobbing getting closer, Kathleen cannot spot the child, but she does feel a warm river of blood running underneath her feet. Feeling panic-stricken and at the same time maternal, Kathleen shouts at the top of her lungs, “I hear you but I can’t see you! Where are you?”
Still no sign of the sobbing child; only a climbing river of warm red blood that takes only seconds to reach her kneecaps. Kathleen is so frightened and petrified from the quick rise of the dark red fluid she can’t move her legs, only her arms. Kathleen frantically tries to turn her upper body to see which direction the sobbing is coming from, but isn’t able to see the child. After a few seconds of distraction, Kathleen finally realizes the river of blood has already reached the top of her neck. Suddenly, her legs become free while her long arms flutter to stay afloat in the dark red river of smelly fluid. As the sound of infant cries and sobbing children gets closer, Kathleen can feel a light thump on the back of her head. Once she manages to maneuver herself around in the river of blood to see the source of the thump, she lets out a scream when she spots a child’s severed arm.
“Aaaahhhhh!”
While screaming, Kathleen’s mouth fills with some of the smelly, bloody river causing her to choke and her eyes to buck. In less than a second, the bloody river rises over her head and she begins to gasp while drowning. Once Kathleen’s head is completely submerged under the dark red fluid, she can make out more nude body parts from infants and small children floating toward her. Kathleen opens her mouth to scream but only gulps of blood clots and red fluid enter her mouth. It is truly a nightmare as she feels the air leaving her body. Then suddenly, she feels her body catapulted back to reality. During her journey Kathleen can hear a woman’s voice repeating her name in a loud tone, “Kathleen! Kathleen! I need for you to breathe!”
Immediately, Kathleen’s eyes slightly opens as she mumbles, “I am breathing.”
“Kathleen, you’re in the recovery room, and I need for you to breathe. Take in some deep breaths for me, Kathleen!” the woman’s voice shouts.
