About the Book

In each of  these short  stories, a glimmer of justice prevails in a strange and unexpected way. Combining some pieces of my life, imagination, and love of fiction, my goal is to write tales to give the reader a feeling of optimism.

Some of these stories will leave you questioning some of the people, you have came across in your lifetime.

About the Author

I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. As a child coming up in a single parent home, the road to life was rough and challenging. My mother had several issues going on in her life that caused my existence to be a little different from other kids. During my childhood, I can remember moving a lot, hungry days and not having utilities. Sometimes while living without lights, I would find a flashlight or candle and get a book to read in order to escape from my surroundings. The times we were lucky enough to have lights, me and my sister were able to watch Sir Graves, Alfred Hitchcock, and the Twilight Zone.

As a young woman life lessons and consequences got harder. My two nephew's were lost in a house fire and my mom was severely burned: covering 40% of her body. As she fought for her life, I chased after someone who didn't want me. At that time of my life I was lost and went on to be in several violent relationships, not appreciating life, family and others. I always tried to get something for nothing, used abortion for birth control and self-serving. After my first daughter went to foster care and the second got kidnapped, my life values and opinions changed.

Months after reuniting with kids, I went on to and graduated from a community college in 1991. Still with a lot of misfortune and turmoil plaguing my life, I relocated my family to St. louis. Since then, I was able to land a steady job with a major automobile manufacturer, raise my two girls and married. I was also able to bring my mom to Missouri and began some serious writing. With God's help, I'm able to respect, love and appreciate, my family, friends and fellow man.
