About the Author

The writer is the wife of Coach Coker, mother of two children, guidance counselor at her hometown school, daughter of a retired Mississippi Highway Patrolman, and the oldest of four children. In addition to being born and raised in the great Hospitality State, she is a graduate of Mississippi University for Women and Mississippi State University. The fact that she did not even know we lost “The War” until the fifth grade sets the stage as she shares stories and pictures with her readers that reveal the real treasures in life-with a Southern flare.
