In all the world there is only one me
When I look in the mirror that is all I see
My eyes slant and brown
My hair long and thick
My lips they are full
For me a perfect fit
My nose is broad in the middle of my face
My ears are little made just for me
My skin is the color of cocoa they say
Brown is the color it is to me
Even if I had a twin sister
There still couldn’t be
No one I mean no one
Exactly like me
I have my own laugh
A giggly one too
I have the biggest smile
My teeth are pretty to
They say I have dimples
I see I have two
I love the colors pink, green and purple you see
So far do you think you’re another me?
I like to eat fruit not a lot of candy and sweets
When I grow up I would like to have all of my teeth
I like to grace my food before I eat
Mom says your suppose to and the Creator it will please
I like to wear my hair in two pony tails hanging low

About the Book
The purpose of this book is to inspire young boys and girls to accept themselves for who they are regardless of their skin color, the way their body is made, the length and texture of their hair, the features of their face, the car they drive in, the house they live in, the clothes they wear or what community or side of town they live in. The children of today have to understand that they hold the key to tomorrow. They are our future. Each child has something to offer to this society, each one has to teach one; each one has to reach one. We all can learn from each other. The question is: Am I my brother or sister’s keeper? The answer: Yes, I am!!
About the Author
Sonya J. Bowser is 28 years old and a first time author.
This is not the first time her work has been displayed. She is also a well-known writer who work has been featured in “Blackgirl Magazine” as well as “DNC creations”. She is a singer/songwriter for Dragon’s Ninja Clan cartoon episodes and has sung background vocals for local and underground artist as well as appeared on their albums.
