About the Book

Slacker bumpkin Reilly Brandt spends the majority of his young life's time romancing girls on monkey bars, writing short stories about penguins, and throwing watermelons at people.

Meanwhile his artistically inclined and college bound friend Oliver Price debates with him endlessly on moving away from the town in which they both grew up and are from, Stosselville.

Somewhere along the way Reilly meets a sweet and sexy coffee vixen named Charlotte Graham, who challenges Reilly on his notions of love, life and leaving.

About the Author

John Phillips spent the last five years prior to 2005 experiencing the events described in his first book "Comfortably Nowhere". And while some events detailed in this book might be somewhat dramatized, the author assures you that he meant them to happen that way.

Originally interested in cinema and making short films, John Phillips wrote "Comfortably Nowhere" in the hopes of making a serious independent film. But soon found out that writing was as equally challenging as that of shooting a movie.

After becoming disillusioned with five years of endless re-writes and the moving away of friends and anyone that could help him make "Comfortably Nowhere" a pontential film, the author became content with releasing his work as a book, a "screenplay turned novel extravaganza."

As of this writing John Phillips finds himself residing in the central area farming district of Illinois.

The author is not, nor has he ever been, a member of the United Coalition Front of Independent Socialist Voters.
