About the Book

Light-as-a-Feather Erica and Solid-as-a-Rock Vivien are real life cousins and best friends.  They are both the same age. Their favorite color is purple.  They love to play board and video games.  They love spending time together and when it’s time for one of them to go home it’s always too soon, and could they please play just a little bit longer?  When they visit each other, they are never bored.  Even sleeping is fun, as you’ll soon learn why. 

          These girls probably will remind you of someone you knew while you were growing up and if you are kid, you will probably see a part of yourselves in them. Maybe they’ll remind you of some of your friends.  What happens in this story is only a story.  Light-as-a Feather Erica never flew like a kite on a windy day.  But the story shares a lot of what they do when these two cousins and best friends get together and have fun. They really love each other and are there for each other no matter what happens. 

About the Author

My husband and I live with our daughter Vivien in San Jose.   Her cousin lives in San Jose too, as does much of our family.  The cousins are both 13 now, but when this book was written they were both just 6 year old. They were born only three weeks apart and whenever they got together they were inseparable.    Vivien has a great imagination and she has inherited my ability to create stories with ease.  We are very excited to be bringing this first book that we have written together to you, the reader and we hope that you enjoy it.   We have already written two more books in this series, so please look for them in the near future.
