About the Author

J.L. Parks began playing piano at the age of four and continued on that path in addition to other musical pursuits including singing and lyric writing up until the present time. Outside a handful of years at Oregon State University, it was through lyrical expression that J.L. discovered her passion for writing.  She is an avid believer that life should not be taken so seriously that we forget why we are here in the first place:  to learn, to teach, to grow and to experience.  To live life with appreciation that you have one and make it matter.

J.L. lives with her husband Erik and two children, Silja and Mitchell.
