“Mom Said”
Mom sits by a tree
That provides ample shade
She sits with a smile
That reflects upon the water
The sweet song of nature provides music that soothes her tired soul
The fowl of the air display a show unto her
The blue sky provides background for this drama
“Don’t cry”, says the sparrow,
“For we know you and love you”
“Don’t cry”, says the dove,
“For you are home”
“I have loved and gave love”, Mom said
“I am multiplied through many others because I was”
“I am because others could be”
“Now my soul shall rest here content”
“Because I saw destiny and she embraced me”
“Blessed be thy name”, Mom said
As she laid her soul down to sleep

My poetry takes you on a journey with me. It encompasses my quest to find who I am. It is my walk with God. It is my quest to find you. It is my yearning to find peace through love, hope, loss, and despair. It is a compilation of poems that start from 1990 to the present. It also started from my mind and heart. It ends with the concept that I'm not walking alone with you walking with me.
