Blind Vision

The effects of a deity, religion, and the laws of the state are clearly identifiable in the world today but are often overlooked. Society nurses the idea that the makers of state laws do so for the best interest of all citizens and of that state. A tremendous amount of time, effort and study of probability and statistics is done before these laws are coined. If this be the case, why do these laws keep changing?

Politicians and lawyers, after a period of time, or after a particular event, usually seek to change the laws to suit society at that time. This makes the laws largely capricious and situational. All the possible outcomes of events have not yet occurred; meaning, the laws of the state will keep changing. With respect to this, individuals are judged by the state based on moral standing and the laws of the state at the time of trial. If the state has not dealt with a particular offensive scenario at a specific point in time, the offender will be set free. The law cannot hold any individual responsible for an action if the action or its effects had not been identified as a crime.

God loves me!! A statement reiterated by almost everyone who believes there is a deity. Some of them have some aspect of their character sinful but do not see the reason to change. With partial knowledge about what the Bible preaches about salvation, this statement is most often used as a cover-up. If God loves us, why do we suffer in an uncertain world filled with disorder and turmoil? He is filled with love but His creatures find it difficult to identify His presence. The Godhead Himself, in the person of Jesus Christ, with all His love came to live among us but humanity in their might killed Him. How can anyone talk of God’s love when the world around them seems to portray little or no evidence of such love?

We are all born with the instinctive ability to differentiate right from wrong. The issues of doubt and deceit are also rooted in us from birth. Once in society, our aspirations and concepts are shaped. We grow in the fantasy of the images and science around us. The imaginations of artists are used as a seed of corruption to the children’s young and delicate mind. At that young stage, questions about life and spirituality become apparent. Should they believe a book, game or movie that they so much love, or should they believe the unproven concepts of a deity that they do not see and no one takes time to teach them about His love? With our lives being shaped by the events around us, those things which are not common in our society become unbelievable, and the power of God considered fate. The spirit of compromise makes us to feel that since everyone was created equal and all churches have uplifting ideals, multiple routes could exist to achieve salvation with our Creator. Priests from different religious denominations though having differing views, claim that God is on their side. Whose side is God really on?

As a consequence of these conflicting ideals and the wars fought between various religious factions striving for power in the name of God, the world has deemed it necessary to partially accept Him, rather than to fully embrace His supremacy. The truth about God thus faded and His reality made unclear, resulting in individuals believing in the theories that are most profitable to them irrespective of if they are reasonable or not. Christianity is preached in too many terms making it to appear as if the Christ being preached about had multiple lives on earth, and because of this, some people are unintentionally being led to their demise due to the misrouted guidance of their church leaders.

The quest for earthly popularity has caused the church to adjust the rules of God. This has enabled sinners to feel exonerated from the eminent atrocities of society which they have no hope of changing. With the Bible being available to everyone, the message in it has been given countless interpretations and its effects made minimal.

Due to all the religious confusion, the state has taken it upon itself to come up with its own set of beliefs and laws to guide its citizens. These laws incorporate elements of religious theories and human psychology applied to the immediate society. Excogitating that the ways of God are different from those of men, these laws which are made for the good of society, more often than not, enforce the belief of no deity or multiple deities. With the discrepancy in laws, which set of laws should be obeyed, God’s or man’s?

Based on the confusion between the Bible, religion, the church and the state, the analyses herein were made. It is my hope that those who read the following analogies and analyses will have the conviction to look for the truth for themselves.
