About the Book
Bible of an Owl is a coming of age tale told by the woven together poems of an urban young man struggling to find his place. He battles fear, anger, insecurity, and sexuality in dealing with the world. At times he seems hopeful, and at other times he seems shy, pensive, and overwhelmed. His poems are heartfelt, descriptive narratives of upbringing thoughts on what lies ahead of him. This collection is inspiring and thoughtful.
About the Author
Alphonso Taylor was born and raised in Southeast, Washington DC. He is a graduate from Duke Ellington School of Performing Arts. Alphonso has performed in many theatrical productions in the DC area such as Zooman and the Signs and The Shadow Box. Aside from acting, he enjoys music and poetry writing which marks his poetic book debut, Bible of an Owl. Alphonso writes in an apocalyptic, rap style to kill all evil forces around him. He currently, resides in DC.
