Buddy is a fun-loving little guy who enjoys exploring the unknown and discovering new experiences. His sense of excitement (and his appetite!) takes him off the well-worn path and onto a road with events that bring a lifetime change for him. Hop along with Buddy and follow as he leads you down the Rooster River and back home again to begin another adventure.

About the Author

During more than twenty-five years in the field of Early Childhood Education, Laura Szabo is often asked, “What’s the best way to help a child learn?”   Her three top answers : “read, read, read!   Reading to your child every day should be part of a regular routine; right up there with feeding and bathing.”  In her work as a preschool teacher, infant/toddler caregiver, Child Life Specialist, Head Start home visitor, and Early Interventionist, Laura has encouraged reading as the one activity that can offer a positive outcome for all children - of any age or ability. Along with playing, reading to children will create a love of learning as well as an eagerness to continue reading throughout a lifetime. Laura reluctantly admits to minimal exposure to books in her own childhood. Reading was necessary for school assignments or test-taking. Fortunately, as an adult, she has reintroduced herself to the wonderful gift of reading for pleasure. In their Bethlehem, Pennsylvania home Laura and her husband Jim often read to each other from magazine stories, newspaper articles, or favorite novels, sharing a special understanding of ideas, thoughts, and feelings. Her hope is that readers of all ages will enjoy the adventures of Buddy, the Blue-Tail Bunny, and share his message for generations to come.
