I Wish I'd Said That!

Have you ever thought: “I wish I’d said that?” Now you can say it! Here are some interesting insights, thoughtful reasoning, and wonderful stories that you can use when the opportunity arises.

Someone has asked you to present a devotional thought to your group

and you need a brief presentation that will challenge their thinking. Perhaps you need something a little more substantial and if you had a fresh idea you could expand it with some additional thoughts and concepts.

Here, presented in their original format (I did not delete or change references to our Church’s programs and activities) are 101 random thoughts that can be used as is or easily expanded. They, like my mind, are in no particular order. Each one takes the Truth of a particular Scripture text and introduces a thought, an idea, or a question. They are designed to give you and your hearer something to think about, engender opinions perhaps, or something to stimulate additional study in the Scripture passage addressed.

For longer presentations, these thoughts and ideas become the seeds for inspiring and expanding your own insight and understanding in order that you might encourage and, hopefully, create excitement in your listeners.

Also included are seven “Stories From the Imagination.” These very short stories were designed for dramatic reading to others. Some are especially good for Adults, one (The Creator), for those as young as Kindergarten age. They and all ages in-between will be enthusiastic at hearing the stories centered on Biblical characters, or characters in the life of the author, yet entirely created in the imagination of the writer. They were originally written and read for a small Bible Study group each Christmas season. They are printed here in a double space type to make public reading easier if you desire to use them in that manner.

You will note that I spell llove with two l’s. If you are unfamiliar with the story, you might want to read “No Game” on pages 76/77 first. It may help.

This book is intended as a resource for your ministry to others. I will count it all joy if it ministers to your life as well.
