A Voice Unheard

“His Earthly Journey”

As a infant, He cooed and crawled.

As a young man, He knew as much as His fellow man.

As a man, He taught all over the land.

And this is how His Earthly began.

Then one day they had taken Him, to a Hill called Calvary.

There they whipped, cursed and spat upon Him.

They nailed Him to an OL” Rugged Cross.

This they did to Him, He who is “ FREE.

With His body beaten and, His clothes bloody and torn,

He Hung there not afraid.

You see He hung there for you, and hung there for me.

Then I looked up, I caught a glimpse of you.

You were looking at me.

His eyes were filled with compassion, like none I’d ever seen.

I didn’t seem to know what He was saying to me, I didn’t understand.

Then I heard Him say, “I thirst, I thirst, thirst”.

A wetted sponge was offered to Him, but this is not what He thirsted for.

He was thirsting for us to come to Him,

You see He took the abuse,

And hung there on that OL” Rugged Cross at Calvary,

So that we the sinner could be freed.

Then with a look to Heaven to talk to His father,

And a nod of His head,

He said,

“IT IS FINISHED”.

And this you see is how the SAVIORS Earthly Journey ends ,

And a New Beginning begins.
