About the Book

This is a well-executed

life story of an engineer

telling how his secular

experiences were combined

with his spiritual journey

by the Lord Jesus Christ

The Sermon on the Mount was like a guiding light that illuminated Gene's pathway.  He understood in general that Jesus Christ is the Light of the World, but here we find some particulars enunciated by Christ in the book of Matthew:

Be generous                                         Do not commit adultery

            Avoid hypocrisy                                   Love your enemy

            Show meekness                                                Help the poor

Seek righteousness                               Pray in your closet

            Be merciful                                           Fast when instructed

Act as a peacemaker                            Serve God

Rejoice always                                     Take no thought of

Judge not others                                      what is not eternal

About the Author

Eugene V. Dotter attended three prestigious universities:  New Jersey Institute of Technology, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the University of Pittsburgh.  He majored in Civil Engineering with emphasis on Structural Engineering and is the recipient of four academic degrees.

He has spent 65 years in the practice of engineering.  The more than four thousand projects have been in the United States of America as well as 25 other countries of the world.  Often these projects required a written report analyzing the design and construction of the b uildings.  These buildings hav eranged from one-story residences to seventy-story skyscraperes.

His experiences in writing these reports have developed a succinct style which adds interest to the particular narrative.  The many examples of b uildings have been described in down-to-earth terms that can be understood by readers who are not experienced in engineering.

But Eugene Dotter is a born-again Christian who alwlays testifies to the presence of his Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.  The gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ, appears in his writing as well as his everyday life.
