Beaten & Bruised

A few minutes later, Paul came into the bedroom and laid in the bed with me.  I pretended to be asleep, so Paul turned on the television.  It was so quiet that it was almost too scary.  I could hear every noise that was both within and outside of the house.  I just kept praying over and over.  As time progressed, I began to fall asleep.  A few minutes later, Paul reached across the bed and began to choke me.  I could barely breathe.  I knew that he was going to kill me.  I was trying to get him off of me, but he was too strong.  Finally, he let go and I rolled onto my side trying to catch my breath.  He started hitting me and as I jumped off the bed, he picked it up and threw it towards me.  I ran around the bed and tried to run into the living room.  I had all my hair pulled back into a ponytail.  Paul grabbed me by my hair and I fell to the floor.  Paul then began dragging me down the hall.  I was kicking and screaming for help.  When we reached the living room, he pulled me up by my hair and threw me onto the glass coffee table.  The glass shattered everywhere.  My arms, hands and sides were cut and bleeding.  I was extremely sore and bruised on almost my entire body.  He grabbed me by my hair again and pulled me up.  This time, he threw me against the wall and slammed my head into a picture.  He kept banging my head against it until the glass broke out of it.  The back of my head was bleeding.  I was begging for him to stop!
