RISE

My life took a dramatic turn this past summer, after a series of ignored wake up calls, coming in the form of a serious case of pneumonia, a terrible outbreak of adult acne and a painful stomach virus, which all took place within three months of itself.   I finally woke up after ending up in the intensive care unit of Somerset, NewJersey Medical Center after my heart went into cardiac arrest while I was at work.

Prior to the heart attack I thought everything was going well. I was multitasking being wife, mother and officer at a large bank. I was also, at the time, responsible for being the primary care provider for my parents who recently moved closer to me.   Both of them suffer from chronic diseases, and having them near me was a blessing. 

My husband and I also became the primary ‘go to’ contact for my brother-in-law, who also moved near us from Boston.
