About the Author

With an Irish/German heritage, Ashleigh Moore became an orphan at the age of seven. Growing up in the Midwest region of Wisconsin, she spent most of her childhood separated from her siblings as a ward of the state.

The complications of her disadvantaged childhood were further compounded when she later suffered the loss of her husband and father of her child to suicide.

Committed to changing obstacles to opportunities and providing a better life for her daughter, Ashleigh became an advocate not only for the prevention of suicide, but for the survivors of suicide as well.

Currently a Washington State University student, Ashleigh has spoken on the topic of suicide at high schools and colleges even before the publishing of this book.  While continuing to edify on ‘Surviving’ her hope is to help aid and educate anyone whose life has been touched by suicide.
