The photos are of fields and streams,

Of coffee cups and ordinary things. So
deeply touched by the surrounding hills,

And her deep love for Circleville,
That all things once thought ordinary,

Inspire heartfelt words of poetry.

About the Author

Like many writers, I fell in love with the written word when just a child. As an adult learner, I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio in 2000; and continued my educational adventure by earning my Master's Degree in the Science of Marketing and Communication at Franklin University, also in Columbus, in 2002.

The journeys of writing and learning are everlasting, fulfilling and varied in their paths. In 2005, my first book, Wicked Dreams, was published. This is a suspenseful, fictional tale. The Hills of Circleville is a completely different type of work. It is a collection of photography and poetry about that which has touched me in Pickaway County, Ohio and the surrounding area. I have been so inspired by the area, that even every day things such as a broken tree branch or my shadow have inspired poetry.

My writing has taken me on other adventures as well such as teaching creative writing classes and writing poetry for permanent display at the Bradley Cancer Center at Berger Hospital in Circleville, Ohio and for Dr. Jain's other oncology practice which is in Grove City, Ohio.

I write because I have to. This is what keeps me whole and fulfills my soul. The amazing gift I receive in return is when I learn that I have touched someone's heart, or I have just entertained them for a moment in time.
