From Harlem to Katrina

After all the time when my parents died they had over $35,000.00 in the bank in Harlem! Both my mother and stepfather lived till their eighties but my mother hadn't been out the house in forty years she was scared but we made sure when my stepfather went out he had an escort!

You see some people would have called me a fresh teenager but as I look back at my life with Cadillac Eddie being twenty plus years older than I was at the time I don't blame myself for going with him. I was a typical teenager impressed by this man and his flashy car and good times he showed me I consider myself darn lucky he didn't try to introduce me to drugs like they do today.

She was in Special Education all her life and those kids are something else if you want to catch some hell go the public education way today.

You're not going to pass them looking clean and fine and they don't have anything that's for sure and if you do pass them you have a reputation for being bad or related to somebody they know not to fool with, otherwise you're goose.

As a matter of point the day before the hurricane I had went to the Goodwill Thrift Store to buy some books to read and didn't expect what was soon to happen, I expected it to be just like it was before but was in for a bitter surprise!

I stayed up all that night and watched in absolute horror while the water rise and rise in the house, with no lights mind you, only a big candle and the stench it was my goodness gracious.
