About the Author

Susann McDonald is recognized as one of the world’s leading harpists and pedagogues.  She holds the title of Distinguished Professor of Music at Indiana Unviersity’s renowned Jacobs School of Music where she chairs the largest harp department in the world.  Her many students hold prestigious positions with major orchestras such as the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony, the Metropolitan Opera, the Pittsburgh Symphony, the Detroit Symphony, the Munich Philharmonic, the Orchestra Nationale de France, and numerous others.

 In October of 2003, her home in Bloomington, Indiana was destroyed by an electrical fire.  Before the fire, she was writing a series of devotionals as part of her morning prayer and Bible study time. This book is the result of her reflections and enduring faith in the following years as she struggled with the loss and built a new home.
