About the Book
Sometimes we may think we need relationship counseling; we need victims of child molestation group therapy sessions; we need anger management classes; we need parenting classes; we need children of single parents’ therapy; we need stress management classes; we are simply going insane— out of control. And, we just might need professional counseling; therapy is always a good point of intersection to begin the “search within.” However, we should not consider therapy as the only path to discovering what our true situation is. We should not perceive professional counseling as the beginning, the middle, and the end. Case closed.
A large number of people continue to experience the same “problems” or “symptoms” after literally years of therapy. What happens if we can’t afford professional therapy, or we just “don’t’ believe it in?” At that point of intersection, the “search within” has to be undertaken, alone. Some people don’t believe in any form of “professional” guidance. They’d just rather talk to “Ms. Rose, down the street.” This book will be a personal tour guide to the search within, our personal Ms. Rose, down the street—“sincere advice and some of it actually makes sense.” Along that vein, this book is written in everyday vernacular.
This book is a self-improvement work exploring the notion that EGO is an entity separate and apart from the True Self, the Real Self, which I call ME. EGO can act independently of ME, does act independently of ME, and if let on the loose can destroy ME mentally and physically. Our life can be simple or one where we're wondering if we should throw ourselves off of the very next bridge we cross; or just drown ourselves in the bath tub.
