I walked over closer to her and put the gun up to her head. I refrained from pulling the trigger as I thought about how the blood spatter would end up on me. I stepped back 6 feet and aimed directly for her head, which was touching the floor, and I slowly squeezed the trigger. I got her, she was dead as well.
To ensure the children would be taken care of I picked up the telephone and dialed 911, then put the phone on speaker before leaving. At this point I was pumped on Adrenalin. I ran through the front door and kept on running without closing it. I ran about 3 blocks, then while still running I removed the ski mask and gloves and placed them in my bag, and put on my sunglasses.
I kept running for another 4 blocks, then attempted to casually enter a local bar which was just opening. I went right for the bathroom. I looked in the mirror, ok no blood. I went into a bathroom stall and removed my shirt and pants and checked them for blood. No blood there either. I got redressed, washed my face and hands and went over to the bartender and ordered a beer, like nothing had happened.
Within 10 minutes I could hear police and ambulance sirens rushing down the street. I was sitting at the bar by myself drinking beer after beer. By nine O’clock I had consumed 9 drinks and the bartender said I didn't look well. I asked him to call me a cab. I took the cab right to the train station, I felt exhausted. All the energy was now gone from my once supercharged body. I slept in the train station for a few hours at a time, and stayed alert for the last hour by drinking coffee and eating a burger. I boarded the train right on time and it left promptly at 9:23 AM. I slept a bit more on the train with my knap sac on my lap and was back in Ottawa by 1:00 PM. After Arriving back at the Ottawa train station I took a bus downtown, and from there took a taxi home.
Once at home I shredded and burnt this manuscript as I had done with the others. Only this time I used my metal garbage can to burn it in. I then put the gloves back on and cleaned the gun and remaining bullets with Comet and soap to remove any possible fingerprints. I took all the different bullets and the gun and put them in a clean unopened garbage bag which I got from the back of the garbage bag box while still wearing my gloves.
If there were any fingerprints on this bag, then they came from the person at the factory who put it in the box. I rinsed my trashcan until it was spotless and then sprayed the bathroom with air freshener to mask the smell of the smoke. There was just one last thing I had to do, get rid of the gun and bullets. This really wasn't going to be too hard. Still wearing my thin black gloves I picked up the garbage bag and placed it in my knapsack. I took a 20 minute drive to the McDonald's on St. Laurent Boulevard. I went through the drive-through and ordered a number 6 and an extra burger. I was famished.
I pulled into the parking lot and ate the food. Once finished I transferred the black garbage bag with the gun and bullets inside from my knapsack to the empty McDonald's bag. The McDonald's bag now weighed about 5 pounds. I walked over to the garbage can slowly, making sure that the paper McDonald's bag didn't rip open by supporting the bottom of it with my free hand. I threw it out in the center of the McDonald's garbage, which conveniently was just over half full. I figured that by the end of the evening it would get completely full and then get moved over to their dumpster and removed. I figured there was no way that anyone including the employees would ever suspect that the garbage contained a lethal weapon.
