About the Book

About the Author
Rodney Simpson is an Elementary School Assistant Principal. Prior to this position he taught second grade. He holds a BS Degree in Elementary Education/Language Arts from Indiana State University, Terre Haute Indiana. He also holds a MA degree in Educational Leadership/School Administration from Ball State University, Muncie Indiana. Rodney is married to Jacquelyn and they have one son Jayden. He enjoys gardening, writing stories, and working with his Austrailian Shepherds. Rodney is also the author of "A Soldier's Wish."
About the Illustrator:
Betty Simpson is a mother of four, a grandmother, and the aunt to the author. She enjoys drawing, gardening, sewing, and cooking. She is actively involved with 4-H and her church. She and her husband Darrell enjoying working on their family farm. Her inspiration for art has come from country living and her love for children.
