CHAPTER 1

Innocent Foolish Little “Girlchild”

It all started in the summer of 1980.  I was sixteen years old, visiting my father like I always did for summer vacation in Los Angeles.  My dad worked Monday through Friday from 7: 00am and would not return home until around 6:00pm each evening.  My twin sister and I would be at home with no supervision.  Never leave teenage girls alone who are not yet responsible.  We had all day to get into trouble--whatever trouble it was to get into on any day of the week.  And I got into trouble by hanging out at the park, and hanging out with girlfriends and cousins around the neighborhood in Los Angeles.

I was already having sex since I was 12 years old.  I would sneak out my bedroom window to be with an older guy who was my neighbor.  He was two or three years older than I was.  I would meet him at the field, by the tree next to the house, where I lived in Sacramento, and we would make out and have sex.  I thought that being with an older guy…I had to have sex or the older guy would not like me.

For whatever reason, older men always tried fondling and touching me.  One day when I was fourteen years old, my own father tried to penetrate me with his finger when I was visiting him in the summer.  I yelled out to him, “No, Daddy!”, and he stopped.   He said that he did that to see if I was having sex.  He never tried to do it again.  I also remember the time when my Dad and I were across the street from his house at the neighbor's house for a barbecue.   I was dating the neighbor's son, yet, for some reason the neighbor's husband and I ended up in the garage alone and he started fondling my breast and then he kissed my breast.
