About the Book

The Crimes of Children is the horrific journey of Charles A. Morgan. It is the true story of a mentally-ill child, compounded by severe abuse by his classmates. He was left un-medicated and untreated for almost 3 decades. This story unfolds as his behavior and decision-making get to the point where he tries to take his life many times, through overdoses, even to the point of jumping-off a major interstate bridge into the Ohio River.  He wanders through life, with no friends and countless jobs, only to be hospitalized several times. Then, as a child, begins to learn how to walk. Chuck learns how to live after a near-successful suicide attempt. He was able to find his heart and his soul and, like a miracle, found forgiveness for those who hurt him so much - finding his heart, when most would have perished.

About the Author

Charles A. “Chuck” Morgan grew up in Corydon Indiana, which is in the Southern-most part of the state. It is believed by Chuck and his therapists that he became ill as young as five years old. That is the age that his agony began. After countless days and weeks in mental hospitals, and hundreds of therapy sessions, and even more beatings from some of his classmates, Chuck began his journey of pain and anguish and suicide attempts. Most would call Chuck’s journey a reckless life, through poor choices but, after searching for peace in any form for more than two and a half decades, he found that peace in his life. He very well could have ended up dead, or in prison. Instead he found love for God and himself. While most people start their life as a child, Chuck's life began at forty.
