Why So Many Christians Will Go to Hell
In today’s world there is, what we have labeled, a damnable doctrine. It is a doctrine that will actually lead many astray and ultimately to hell. There are numerous instances of people searching for truth and being caught up in this damnable doctrine. There are people deceiving others who eventually, through their own lust, become self-deceived. They seek out this doctrine with itching ears (2 Tim 4:3). Many times someone, often with good intentions, will tell a person that all they have to do is say certain miraculous words and they will be saved. These words may be anything from, “Lord I give you my life, come into my heart and be my savior” to
“I repent of my sins and I want to be saved.” If these words are said with no repentance and sometime later the person passes away, it will be sad if someone stands over the casket and says, “They were a good person, and they are with the Lord.” There is none good except one (Luke 18:19).
There is more than one way to judge; spirits agree. If one person has the spirit of God and their spirit doesn’t agree with another’s spirit then that other person does not have the spirit of God; spirits agree. If you have a spirit that wants to party hardy and someone else is the same, your spirits agree; but now you need to examine yourself to see if those spirits be of God.
We know you must confess with your mouth and believe in your heart (Rom 10:9). The problem is that so many Christians do not know what it means to believe in your heart. They confuse this with mental ascension—just believing in your mind. Heart belief goes much deeper. Heart belief is believing in your spirit.
Next is repentance and what it means to repent. Repentance is one of the major keys in opening the door to salvation. Yet, repentance has nothing to do with asking for forgiveness. If a Christian goes to an unsaved person and tells them to repent and be baptized (Act 2:38) without understanding the meaning of the word, they don’t know the implications of what they are telling the person to do.
Then what is repentance? How does it work, and how do you recognize it in a person? If a car is traveling south and repents, it will then be traveling north. A repent is deliberate act that can be seen. If a person repents, it’s the same thing. It can be seen and is very noticeable. Without repentance, however, there is no salvation.
