About the Author

Steven Passmore is a 29-year old from Augusta, Maine who was diagnosed at the age of 4 with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.  It was not expected that Steven would live as long as he has, but his faith in God and good care have sustained him right up to this moment.  Steven has experienced a lot of suffering: multiple surgeries, near-death experiences, loss of loved ones, decreasing ability to care for himself to the point of being dependent upon others 24/7/365.  He has written these prayer-poems over the past years as a way of helping to get through the situations he has faced. He hopes they are an inspiration to you – whatever you are going through – and a means for you to grow in your faith in God.
