With every wind of the Spirit of God, there is freshness and a newness that has never been experienced. Our God is an awesome God and the depths of His revelation can only be revealed in times of fasting and in times of prayer. God desires to unfold some of His greatest mysteries and revelations in our lives of which we are privileged to witness. He waits for us to come to His throne so that we may serve others.
God begins His work in our lives and little by little the tapestry of our ministry begins to take shape. He adds a stitch here and a stitch there. With the coming together of all our experiences, we begin to reflect on each and every circumstance that was responsible for who we are and for where we are in our lives. We can look at our past defeats ad realize that there was a victory and a lesson in them as well.
The word of God tells us that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. Many a battle has been won, but not without a fight. Personally, I began to understand that whatever I was fighting for was already settled in heaven. Through my battles, God allowed me to see the fight, engage in it and to understand that it has been won in the spirit-realm, I began to understand that the battle indeed was not mine. I learned that my flesh could not defeat the devil and only the Holy Spirit that dwells in me could.
Because you are flesh and because you live in a tangible world of solid matter, there are battles that you as a human being need to see. Sure you are to walk in the Spirit, but there is this flesh that needs to know and to understand the outcome of a true spiritual fight. Your spirit may know what the battle is as you engage in warfare, but your physical body needs to comprehend it. Things of the spirit are comprehended in the spirit. The physical comprehension of a spiritual battle is realized in the physical-realm.
In other words, what you already know is done in the spirit, is confirmed by what you see the outcome is in the physical or in the natural.
Maybe you have an unsaved child or an unsaved spouse. As you watch their lives your eyes (physical faculties) may only be able to see that what is happening is totally contrary to what you may believe the Lord for. About the Author
Karen Vaughan Palmer a native of Karen obtained the Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education from Hampton Institute. She furthered her education at Karen is also an author, songwriter and has served as a worship leader in a local church. She has authored her best seller, “That I Might Please Him” as well as having written many songs for praise and worship. She has ministered and performed in cultural centers and in Catholic churches throughout Karen and her husband have two beautiful children: Mark 18 and Lauren 17.
