The author was born in Rushville Indiana in 1937. He moved to Milroy in 1949 and graduated from Milroy High School in 1956. He moved to Columbus Indiana and went to work for Indiana Bell Telephone Company two weeks after he graduated. He married Maxine Willis in 1957 and they raised three girls. He became interested in Archaeology in the mid 70’s and has worked at sites with Indiana University, Indiana State University, Ball State University, IUPUI, the Indiana State Museum, and Northwestern University. After 38 years of work in the telephone industry he retired and has since received a presidential award for over 8000 hours of volunteer work at the Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge near Seymour, Indiana. During the summer months he helps with cemetery stone repair part time. He spends as much time as he can with his six grandchildren to support them in their projects. Writing books has been on his mind for many years and he finally started writing in 2003. His first book came out the same year.
