About the Author

The author has been Assistant Director of Cleveland’s Irish Cultural Festival for twenty-three years.  The festival was founded by his father and John continues this legacy of love of the Irish heritage, and vision for the festival, an annual civic event with over 35,000 attendees.  The festival is culturally focused and recognized as one of the best in the United States.
    Active in the Irish community and with the Festival Organizers Convention, where he was a featured speaker in 2005 and 2006, John has been interviewed on numerous radio, television programs and newspapers.  He designed, wrote and produced “The Legacy Project,” a video for the United States Library of Congress, highlighting Cleveland’s Irish Cultural Festival as “an event of cultural significance.”
