It is a very helpful book to share with other young children who have lost loved ones, including their pets.  It also provides a good opportunity to let children know that they will not be the only one going through this difficult time and that sadness is normal when we lose someone we love.

All profits from the sale of this book will go to children charities which will be chosen by the author and his family.

About the Author

Timony Shinada-Izotov, the author, is only 6 years old and was born in 1998 in Surrey, England.  He has a Russian father and a Japanese mother.

He is a very active boy, -playing tennis and learning Aikido (Japanese self-defence). On the other hand, he is also a very creative and sensitive boy.

One day he discovered that he was going to be a big brother.  He was so excited. He helped his mother as much as he could.  On 15th September 2003 his sister, Christina, was born and he became a big brother, but  6 months later on 18th March 2004 he had to face up to a very difficult event....

After he experienced the loss of his sister, he became more sensitive especially about the subject of death, angels, and heaven.  Around that time he suddenly began to create a poem which surprised his parents.

Timony made the most  beautiful story and asked his mother to illustrate it.

His mother, Kazusa was heartbroken at that time and it was very difficult for her to cope with normal daily life, but when she listened to his story she was moved and instantly picked up a pencil to take down his words so they would not be lost.

While his mother was driving Timony home from school recently, he wrote another poem about our soul which is included in this book.

Kazusa has also loved drawing and creating stories since she was a small child, but has never worked as a professional.  This occasion was her biggest motivation.

It encouraged her to move forward to do something for other grieving children and parents.

The family moved to the Costa del Sol, Spain and have just started to enjoy their new life for Chirstina in the warm climate.
