Billy was sleeping very soundly when he woke with a start and sat bolt upright in bed. His whole room was filled with a bright purple light and he put his hand over his eyes to shield them. Coming from outside he could hear a faint humming noise. Whatever could be happening?
"Uh-oh!" Billy thought, "I was complaining about being bored and now I'm going to be kidnapped by aliens and never see my family again.”
He was quite frightened but he strapped on his leg and made his way over to the window still shielding his eyes. He pulled the curtain back very slightly and peered through. Outside he saw the strangest thing. There was, in the middle of the lawn, what can only be described as a giant toilet hovering a few feet off the ground. Billy was very confused and anxious, he could feel his palms becoming clammy and his heart felt like it was jumping up and down in his chest. There was purple steam coming out of the bottom of the toilet, it had purple light radiating from the centre and it was very shiny, like glass, except he couldn't see inside. Billy pulled the curtain back further to get a better look and stared in wonder at the giant toilet. Suddenly, steam shot out of the top of the toilet making him jump, and a lid slowly began to lift.
"It is a toilet," thought Billy, "I'm going to be eaten by a poo monster.”
He closed his eyes despairingly as if talking to the provider of the wish,
"I was never that bored really, please don't let me be eaten.”
He opened his eyes and was aware that his leg was shaking, at least his prosthesis was holding him steady. A platform was slowly rising out of the giant toilet. Billy could see a shape standing on it but couldn't quite make it out because there was too much steam. He was very afraid but could not stop himself from staring out of the window. The steam slowly began to clear.
"Now I'll be able to see what's going to eat me," he thought terrified.
His hands were shaking too now, he felt sweat dripping from his forehead, his mouth felt dry, he was breathing heavily and he could feel his heart beating so hard he was sure it would burst through his chest.
"I should warn Holly, Mum and Dad," he thought to himself but he couldn’t move, his feet were rooted to the spot. He tried to yell but all that came out was a very quiet squeak, and he could not take his eyes away from the toilet.

Billy Brennan is a ten year old boy, who has a prosthesis. He is bored with his village life and yearns for excitement and adventure. One evening he is visited by an alien who he befriends and together they embark on a journey filled with excitement and adventure as Billy helps the alien on his mission to find the "Cureall" flower. His life will never be the same again.
